Using strategies to realise your vision
Consider your target market and your buyers
Validate your idea from customers wants and needs viewpoint
Functional teams not aligned?
Sales, Product & Mktg Tension?
Possible finger pointing & blame?
Can teams explain the strategy?
Do they understand their part?
Do local plans and goals align?
Is relevant information accessible
Did all teams assist in planning?
Were their thoughts listened to?
Were feelings tapped into?
Are teams de-motivated?
Developing a high level strategy is key to working out the steps to take in order for our vision to be realised. This will be rudimentary at this stage, but provides your with the initial stepping stones and a set of avenues to explore on your journey
The first step of your product (or service) development is to consider who is your target market segment (who are you looking to sell your products to) - market segmentation, the size of the market and the potential competition already active in that market
Refine the idea a bit further based on preliminary market research. Ask each of your team members to spend just 20 minutes on the internet looking to gain intel on the idea, you'd be amazed how much they find, that often doesn't materially change over time
Formulate a set of strategies and initial plans to work out how to grow the idea into an end product The strategy will evolve as we take the next steps of our journey together
We can help provide independent, unbiassed feedback on your current strategy
We check the bases are covered, or highlight areas maybe needing some attention
We will help you start to formulate an overall vision and develop baseline strategies if none exist. The strategy will evolve you take the next steps of your journey.
We can help you and your teams capture and document your plans (a key part of the planning discipline), depending your organisation's application of choice
We will help you start-up a (development) project and develop a set of initial plans
We will seek alignment between different functional teams and build buy-in
With years of building strategies and plans, we can work together to take you and your teams on a journey, sharing knowledge along the way, building your capabilities further your teams as your product (or service) strategy evolves.
We look to be your critical best friend, confidentiality at the heart of what we do
Clearer vision as what the end state could looks like
- this will be enhanced over time
Strategy starter (baseline) plan
- routes to explore tactics to use
Initial roadmap and project plan
- sequential timeline of events
Team buy-in and support
- clear owners & next step actions
"A goal without a plan is just a wish”

Making your vision become real is like working towards a finished jigsaw puzzle.
The pace of progress of completion of a 1000 piece jigsaw is generally based on the amount of friends and family helping you. You can and will progress slowly by yourself, but its much quicker, easier and more fun when people help you
You generally have an overall strategy: (like a product, marketing or business strategy!)
1. Find the straight edge piece, join the corners and get an overall frame of reference
2. Find clearly defined pieces that you can easily spot (from the picture) where they go
3. Find pieces of similar colour or pattern - at this stage too early to sort by shape
4. You have different parts of the puzzle developing at different speeds
5. Sometimes everyone works on the same area, sometimes they develop their own
6. As it builds, some pieces have been incorrectly fitted, so change / adapt as required
7. You get better and better at understanding what works well and what isn't as good
8. Mostly its based on informed choice, often its trial and error, sometimes sheer luck
Success of delivering a strategy is based on individuals from all parts of the organisation contributing to how the picture looks, soliciting their ideas on the way. Since they can see what the end picture looks like, they discuss as a team where piece, or idea fits and know how the idea can be used. One person will see a piece another will miss
